Omegafriends Background: In the AU background, Samus is kidnapped from Earth which is as it appears in the Omagefriends universe from a small town in southern France which was destroyed in an alien probing invasion. She was rescued from being brought up by the evil aliens by the Chozo. From there she was raised by them, their language being her real native language and even infused with their blood, making her partially Chozo. As she grew older, she started to gain a certain lust for vengeance. The Chozo decided to train her as one of their warriors in addition to her other education.

She took to it readily, growing up skilled in their forms of warfare. Though she decided to leave them to join the greater community of the stars. She wasn't restful like her mentors. She couldn't help it. So they gave her a basic ship, but she used the technology from it to tool herself up a basic replica of the power suit they trained her with. From there she joined the colonial police force, in hopes she'd have a chance to fight the pirates she wanted to. But when that proved to be a lie. She became a basic officer on the frontier. When a particularly encouraging officer from the nearby Marine station named Adam offered her a bounty to take the fight to the pirates that had done in her family and old life; she took it.

From there the plot of Zero Mission, Prime series, Metroid 2, and Super Metroid take over. She does smaller missions on the side, but these are the primary plots. Her final mission sent her to a secret base of Federation rogues deep in uncharted space. There she came face to face with her still supportive officer friend Adam whom she had worked alongside at various points in her career. However at this point Samus had grown reckless in pride and unstable from her loneliness. This reckless got a member of Adam's team killed, driving a wedge between the once friends. Though this is hardly where it ended as the details of the mission grew more and more clear as both teams started to work together more closely; Samus being more careful with her power around the other soldiers. However it became clear that the ship held dark things, dark things indeed.

Samus' only friend up until this point, Adam, was killed helping his soldiers flee from cloned Metroids. She hardly knew what to think, her parents had ascended and her only friend had been killed. After finishing the mission and making good on her promise to keep the other soldiers safe, Samus made the decision to finally seek herself. Her lost homeworld of Earth seemed like the best place.

Too bad she had a rough landing.

Personality: This Samus has a lot of adjustment issues. She's solved all her trauma with violence and spent most of her time in her suit, separated from the world around her. She's not to say traumatized anymore, just unstable. She can be subject to mood swings if subjected to a great deal of stress and her reactive response to many things is trying to freeze it with her ice beam. It's not to say she's ever happy, but she tends to be mood swingy and brooding.

She tends to be rather unhappy as well. Her only friend in the universe is gone and she's in a place she barely remembers. She'll also be a bit insulated from making friends despite also feeling like she definitely needs them as well. She feels lost in the tug and pull of the two emotional extremes. The desire for connection and her native want to be a free spirit. She may be subject to friend swings, fluxing between inviting people into her life and pushing them away.

She has no relationship with the... thing that is in Other M. Any similarity to that chunk of trash is purely coincidental. She does have a strong moral center though. She always promised to never become what she hated. She'll never be like an evil space pirate. She'll never murder, steal, destroy, or anything even worse than that! She also knows what acceptable force is and learned that lesson harshly. She knows how to avoid harming the area around her along with using her freeze weapons for non-lethal purposes.

As for everything else? She's trying to adjust to the idea of having a normal life. She does everything she can to avoid it. Working on her suit, searching for ancient Chozo ruins, lounging about in her suit even when she shouldn't be. She'd prefer to make friends with people with her suit on because at least she can hide her face like that. She still will find points in time where she's forced out and she'll feel quite awkward about it. Being a normal person isn't something she'll do well.

Powers: Her armor, weapons, and other upgrades are damaged due to a crash landing. While she'll fix them in time, she can accelerate them by finding upgrades from villains, help from other heroes, or by finding chozo ruins. Her currently functioning gear is as below.

Power Beam: It had to be!
Power Suit: Had to be. Samus is 2 meters in the suit, only a few mm shorter out.
Zero Suit: Acts as a transponder for the power suit to be teleported around Samus. She wears it sort of like how Superman wears his uniform under his clothing; allowing her to get into the action at any moment.
Missiles: Causes a large concussive force at impact. Stored as energy in the suit and generated in the arm cannon before being fired. These have two fire modes. A slow firing mode that homes and fast firing mode that is dumbfire Current Storage: 20.
Morph Ball Form: Samus turns into energy and the suit forms into a 1 meter tall ball. This is faster than her running and can enter many areas.
Morph Ball Bomb: Can drop energy explosives during ball form.
Ice Beam: Freezes targets.
Charge Beam: Allows beams to be charged.
Dark Beam: Limited Ammo, 50 shots. Freezes targets and saps their energy.
Hijump: Gotta go high! Allows Samus to jump 6x her body height.
Space Jump: Allows Samus to essentially fly. Will break if she hits anything. Harmful or not. Can be unwieldy at best.

Combat Visor: Provides HUD, tracks ammo, all that fun power suit stuff. Provides a targeting reticule.

Scan Visor: Tells some details about the weaknesses and powers of whoever is scanned. Can scan objects and help find solutions to problems.

Varia Suit: Provides protection from elements and upgrades the shielding on the suit to be more resilient to damage.

X-Ray Visor: Turns her hud Gray. Gives her sight through armor, skin to bones (or whatever else), and through walls she can damage with current gear. Limited ranged, but unaffected by optical conditions like fog, darkness, or intense light. Due to improvements made during Prime 3, will automatically target weak points in armor or biology that are detected. Provided she has proper beams to do so.

AU adjustments: Beams can stack, but it's not always optimal to do so. Some are excellent combos, like Wave+Plasma+Power creates the extra powerful Nova beam that can get through many a normally impenetrable armor. I'll add stack combos here as they come more online.

Beam Combos!
Power+Ice: Smaller, Faster Ice balls. Freezing effect has to be stacked to be useful. Inflicts slowing until maxed.
Power+Dark: Smaller, faster, dark balls. Has much less energy sapping powers.
Dark+Ice: Dark Ice, freezes more effectively and longer. Costs 2x dark ammo.
Power+Ice+Dark: Fast Dark Ice. Stronger effect than either alone, stacks energy sapping without freezing, costs 2x.
